Influenza- Causes and Symptoms
Influenza, which is also known as flu, is caused by RNA virus. Influenza is the virus which is more severe than common cold and fever. The influenza is distinguished into three types, A, B and C. A and B influenza are related to severe respiratory illness and may lead to death whereas C type influenza is related to mild respiratory problems.
Symptoms of Influenza:
Following are the symptoms of influenza which are commonly faced during influenza:
• Fever: A person affected by influenza gets high fever and needs to be given immediate medical treatment.
• Cough: A person affected by influenza gets a prolonged cough.
• Headache: A person suffers from unbearable headache.
• Malaise: The person suffering from influenza feels weak and has no energy to carry out day-to-day work.
• Sore Throat: Influenza may make a person suffer from sore throat and mainly affects the tonsils. This may also include runny nose, congestion, throat pain and hoarseness.
• Nausea: This leads to strong negative emotions, horror, and disgust. Severe pain in stomach and chest and fear is also detected in an influenza affected person.
• Vomiting: The person affected with influenza starts vomiting frequently. This usually is followed after nausea.
• Diarrhea: The person affected by influenza suffers from diarrhea.
